Baniel keeps his lead despite losing his sixth round game to Choate, the Navy’s top seed. Eight players (Keough, Bucholtz, Dulger, Ranario, Echaure, Macaspac, Pitts and Choate) are behind Baniel’s heels at four points each.

Today’s round is the critical round for determining the winner of the individual section. The Air Force broke the tie and now leads the Army by two points in the team competition. The team scores stand as follows: Air Force with 23 points and Army with 21.5 points. The Navy is in a distant third. The last round results will not change the team standing for the Navy.

Baniel is playing Dr. Echaure in the final round as he is the last Air Force player that he has not played against with four points. He has now played five of the six members of the Air Force team. This indicates the strength of the Air Force players. This also indicates the level of performance Baniel is demonstrating. If he draws his game against Echaure, he will tie for first. If he triumphs, he finishes on the top alone. Eyewitness reports from the site seem to indicate an even game so a draw is a likely result.

Macaspac is now in contention for tying for first place by beating the number two seed of the Air Force (Bucholtz). Pitts put an end to Dulger’s trouncing of the proud men in a tactical melee where both sides traded blows in a series of tactical shots. This time, Adam’s progeny temporarily restored the badly bruised men’s pride.

The early finisher in round seven is Dulger now with five points which guarantees her at least a tie for second place. She can tie for first place if Baniel draws. Her only two losses came from the experienced hands of Baniel and Pitts, both Army players.
