For the Denton High School Chess Club today, William Root showed his loss versus expert Dion Su. Su won the October 13, 2012 Scott Watson Memorial Tournament. William Root tied for 2nd through 5th and got 2nd on tiebreak. Denton High School was top high team. Seven Denton High School students participated on October 13. When showing his 32-move long game on the demonstration board (Smart Board), William paused three times (moves, 7, 19, and 27) for five minutes each time. During those five minutes, partnered up students used their boards and pieces to figure out what might have been played. William explained what was actually played and why.
