At Denton High School chess club today, Club President Luis G. showed a game that he won at the Scott Watson Memorial Tournament. Luis paused the game at several points so that pairs of his fellow chess club members could analyze those positions. Alexey Root, volunteer chess coach, and Fred Mueller, chess club sponsor, made announcements about the trip next week (November 16) to the UT Dallas Grandmaster Invitational and Dallas Chess Club. |
And for the chess-player the success which crowns his work, the great dispeller of sorrows, is named "combination."
